For anyone wondering, no we have not caught the mouse (or rather, rat) at this point. One of the very large traps outside has run off, so the exterminator thinks we caught it, but it was able to crawl off. Which means it may be dead, which would be good news.
HOWEVER....I came in this morning and was instructed to open the master bathroom door under NO circumstances, that they thought it was in there. They threw a couple traps in there and slammed it shut again. Later we finally opened it to find no mouse. So who knows where this giant critter is? Thank goodness it is warm enough to stay outside a lot!
We lost a bat inside the call center once. We were pretty sure it was in a storage room, so we kept the door shut for a couple days. When we did brave the room, we assumed the bat had made his way out via the ducts. Not the case. Found him in a box. He was dead. I wish he'd managed to get outside somehow, but at least he didn't give anyone rabies...
